Recipe for Iced Banana Cream Latte
The concept and recipe truly is simple. You basically make a frothy and creamy banana foam then add it to your favorite coffee drink. Swirl the cream into the latte or drink and you have a rich, banana forward coffee drink. Blending the banana, milk base a little sugar and vanilla is all you need. But the trick is in using a personal blender if you’re making a batch for 1-2 glasses. You really should use a personal blender because it’s small enough to make a serving for about 4 glasses.
Banana Coffee Creamer with Heavy Cream, Milk, Oat Milk, Almond Milk or Soy Milk
Requirements for Creamy Banana Latte is using a ripe banana for full flavor. That way you don’t have to use as much banana and thus, one ripe banana goes a long way. Too much banana can make the cream slimy. For the milk, there’s so many options.
- Heavy Cream: this is going to give you the creamiest banana cream top for your latte or coffee drink.
- Half & Half: is a great option too to still get the milk fat creaminess.
- Whole Milk or lowfat milk always works. The banana cream won’t be as thick, but it’s still great.
- Oat milk, almond milk or soy milk are great if that’s your milk of choice. The cream will be a little more watery but the flavor will still be fantastic. If you want it a little thicker, you can always add a little more ripe banana. These alternative milks are great for making a Vegan Banana Cream Latte or Vegan Coffee Creamer.

How to Make the Cream Thicker or Thinner
The thickness of the cream will depend on mainly 2 things, what creamer you use and how large your banana is. Plus if you are using heavy cream, it will get a bit thicker if you blend it more (just like when you whip cream to get it to thicken). If you have a runnier creamer like milk, some nut milks, some coconut milks, you may want to use a Tablespoon or so less if you want the cream to be thicker. Or use a larger banana.
Don’t forget to adjust the amount of cream if you are using a larger banana or smaller banana. The initial amounts in the recipe are based on an average medium sized banana (about 8″ long).
