Food Blog Forum Atlanta- Great new friends, Awesome event

Scott Hair of Steamy Kitchen kicks off the seminar
Food Blog Forum Atlanta seminar was a hit and a wonderful event where new friendships were made. Thank you to the beautiful city of Atlanta, Jaden Steamy Kitchen and Gwen Bunky Cooks for organizing and to all the attendees for making this event a huge success.
A huge shout out goes to the stellar panel of speakers as well. Thank you to John Kessler of Atlanta Journal-Constitution, James Andrews and Lauren Thomas from Everywhere , Cookbook author Virginia Willis, Alisa Barry of Bella Cucina, and Jaden of Steamy Kitchen. Their sessions on Working with Media Outlets and Branding were informative, everyone in the room had pages of notes from all their valuable information. We had a blast sharing two sessions on Food Photography.
Since we launched Food Blog Forum with our friend Jaden from Steamy Kitchenin March 2010, it’s been an amazing journey of community, friendships and learning. Not only have we met some of the most wonderful food writers, publishers and bloggers from all across the country, we’ve learned so much from everyone as well.
The whole Food Blog Forum community is about supporting one another and helping each other and we’re proud that we were able to organize an event where everyone can come together to learn, share and participate.
A final thank you to our sponsors who provided great support and giveaways! Viking Store, Chefs Catalog , Kitchen Aid, Whole Foods, Bella Cucina , Calpahalon, Showcase Photo & Video.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful weekend. I learned a ton from your photography talks and I’ve already started trying to put it into practice. I surprised myself with food styling, but so far have failed with shooting manual. But I’m determined to get those backlight photos you showed us – so pretty! I really enjoyed meeting you – your photography is an inspiration 🙂
I can’t thank you enough for all the amazing information you shared. Your session on food styling was far and away some of the best knowledge I took away from that day! You two are truly the top in your profession and I’m excited that I was able to meet you and learn from you. Thank you again!
I am working on my recap of the seminar right now. My photos stink compared to yours, of course, but I am having fun putting it all together. Thank you so so much for your photography session- it was so great to see you in action- and it was fun to chat at the Spice Market party, too. Hope to see you two again soon!
I loved this conference and enjoyed all of the tips and information you shared. It was so great to meet you both in person. I could keep learning from you every day!!
I loved meeting the both of you and your presentation was so wonderful and informative. This was a wonderful conference, and I absolutely enjoyed every minute. I feel so lucky to have met y’all in person. My recap is coming tomorrow!
It was so great to meet you both and learn from the best talent! You guys are so sweet and I loved all the information you shared. I’m posting my recap in the a.m, and I love this recap. You guys are so awesome!
These FBF events look awesome. Please consider bringing one to Canada. Pretty please?
Thanks so much for sharing your infinite wisdom, Todd and Diane! I had the best time learning from you two. Hope you make your way down south again. Safe travels.
Great recap/photos/links. Looks like it was awesome.
Thank you for all of your efforts as well.. it was a great event and it would not have been possible if not for your generous nature in starting FBF (along with Steamy Kitchen) in the first place – all of us would not had this opportunity… I took away not only tons and tons of tips, ideas but most important a huge boost to my blogging confidence (I must!) but the most important thing for me at the end, more fun that getting swag bags and eating good food and visiting an awesome city, was leaving with my contact list full of new friends, with huge amount of talents. Thank you!
I also learned SO much from you this weekend! Thank you so much, you are great teachers.
I had such a good time at the event and thanks to you guys for making it all so fun and informative for us! Although I got to learn so much from your photography lessons but I still need to ask a few questions. Is it ok if I write to you?
Prerna – Of course! Anytime you have a question send us an email. We’ll be happy to help the best we can.
glad to hear it went so well; looks like a killer lineup! come back again!
One of these times the moons will align, we will all be in each other’s city (or at least the same city) and will be able to actually get together. Until then cyber-hugs will have to do.
Wish I had been there..or was gong to BlogHer even. Next year will be my year. A nursing infant just ins’t good carry on..and would more than likely interfere with many a good workshop. Sad I missed it but will be on the forums!
I learned so much from you at the event this past weekend. I can’t wait to start playing with the light and enhancing the quality of my images – I’ll need to break out my canon product manual so I can manipulate all the settings you taught us about.
Truly valuable information!
Thanks again.
It looks as though it was a really successful event! I have read that the information presented was fantastic. I was sorry I couldn’t be there (any chance of a FBF event in Salt Lake City?), but I’m looking forward to meeting you at BlogHer Food.
