Trader Joe’s Ingredients for Curry Dumplings vs Simple Pantry Items

Everyone is using ingredients at Trader Joes like their TJ’s Bottled Curry Sauce, coconut milk, Teriyaki Sauce and a few others. But we had some coconut milk, curry paste, garlic powder, and onion powder in the pantry. So those worked amazing and no need for us to run to TJ’s. We immediately dumped everything in the baking dish and literally, a food miracle happened. These are so delicious you guys and gals!!

Baked Dumplings in Curry Sauce

Add as many dumplings that your vessel can hold. We based the amount of sauce for about 15 frozen dumplings (potstickers or gyoza). But you can add more dumplings, just know that you'll have a little less sauce per bite.

Can you use curry powder for the coconut curry sauce?

Sure, if that’s all you have is the powder, then go for it. We suggest using about 2 Tablespoons of curry powder. Also, it might need a little more spices so adding some fresh minced ginger in there is great.

Using Frozen Dumplings vs Potstickers vs Gyoza

Honestly, they’re all pretty similar and really differ between the fillings. So use any of these three differently named foods. The most importantly factor to know is that you have to use the ones with pre-cooked filling, NOT the raw. Yes, did you know that there’s dumplings out there that have raw filling? So if you’re using raw fillings, then you have to bake the dumplings a little longer to make sure the meat or filling is cooked all the way through.
