{Artist unknown}
You know of our food, work, garden, doggie-parenting and travel lives. But what you don’t know about us is what it’s like living as a mixed race couple. We focus on kindness and compassion and try our best to ignore the random {unnecessary}commentary, glares and rude actions toward us. We have it easier than so many others out there that live in fear. Too many innocent people of color and minorities are afraid to walk alone in their neighborhoods or live free lives for fear of injustices. We need to have tough, honest and thoughtful conversations about these issues, focus on tolerance and peace.
We saw this message this morning on our walk and it was our reminder of why it was worth capturing and sharing. And if you swipe right you can see the mega country breakfast we had this morning cooked for us by very nice people. (Biscuits and gravy, country potatoes, omelette and homemade jam). Just another day in our diverse world.

Being out here on the road reminds us how different people live and how diverse we are all are. And even more reason to be kind and thoughtful to everyone around us.

We give lots of different “anything” ideas on the @thermadorhome blog to cook up a fresh batch of fried rice. Better than take out and more fun for the family.

Swipe right to see our Peonies, finally! We started our peony garden in 2017 with about 50 root bulbs and this year is when they’ve finally matured. With 3 good rain seasons and lots of love, we have blooms that brighten our days. Can’t wait for the other plants to mature and flower. We can share them with others. 💕
