Baking time will vary depending on thickness of asparagus and preferred doneness. To determine a good place to trim the asparagus, flex the bottom half between your hands. Where the asparagus naturally wants to break is usually a good spot to trim.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Asparagus , ends trimmed
  • 3-4 cloves Garlic , minced
  • 1 cup cooked, diced Ham
  • 2 teaspoons fresh Thyme leaves (or 1 teaspoon dried thyme leaves)
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • Kosher Salt , to taste
  • Black Pepper , to taste (preferably fresh cracked pepper)
  • Lemon wedges , for serving

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).

  2. Combine asparagus, garlic, ham, and thyme on a baking sheet pan. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper, Toss to coat evenly and then spread into an even layer.
  3. Bake for 12-20 minutes or until the asparagus is your desired tenderness. Serve warm with lemon wedges.
