A Thanksgiving Story – The Hungry Travelers Video

by on November 24, 2010

Many folks we know are thankful for a warm meal at Los Angeles Mission this Thanksgiving. We’re thankful for that, along with our families and dear friends.

What are you thankful for?

Hope you all have a warm, safe and terrific meal with loved ones. Everyone deserves such basic human compassion and sustenance.

Sometimes we get so caught up in everything that we forget how thankful we should all really be. I hope you both have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Thanks for sharing this documentary. Though I’m not from the area, it’s still great to hear what people are doing to help out others in LA, especially at this time of year. So many people take such basic things as food, shelter, and family for granted, and it’s nice to see other people recognizing just how precious these gifts are. Thanks again and have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!

While we are all so busy thinking about the best way to serve our sweet potatoes, it is so important to think of those who don’t have that option. Thanks for sharing this video.

I’m thankful to be able to be with my family on the holiday, I will miss my other family (friends) that I have spent many holidays with when we only had each other to count on.

this is so beautiful and touching.
I have helped out at food kitchens before and it’s amazing how you go in feeling one thing and come out completely different. It puts life in perspective. It makes you think twice about getting angry at something minor. It makes you thankful for what you have and how you can continue to help the people who really need the basics in life.

We couldn’t have said it any better. That’s why we did the video, because we couldn’t find the words to say what we felt. Thanks for the wonderful comment
