We’re in Oakland right now, attending the Kingsford University Grilling event. After arriving just a few hours ago, we’re amongst some great food writers and photographers to participate in a 3 day, crash course education on bbq-ing and grilling.
Monday evening’s dinner was as Pican in downtown Oakland and the Southern inspired menu was amazing!!! Chef Dean Dupois’ buttermilk fried chicken was perfectly moist, crispy and amazing (more write up on the menu in a later post). Wow, if attending University was always this delicious and fun, we would be getting our Ph.D ‘s !!
