Heading to Club Med Bahamas for Blogger Bash!

by on February 27, 2009

Even right at this moment as I’m frantically throwing everything but the kitchen sink into my suitcase, I’m pinching myself, not believing where I’ll be heading to. I pinched my two dogs, my mother, my brothers, the mail man and even Todd, though he does pinch back twice as hard. ;)

Obviously all the pinch marks on my arm and my dogs are telling me that I’m not dreaming, not at all. I’m headed to Club Med Bahamas for their Food and Wine Festival! Feeling like I’m such the lucky ducky to be plucked out of blog obscurity to join the ranks of Jaden, Elise, David, Deb and Matt, it all feels like a glorious dream. How in the heck did that happen? Uh, I dunno. Not long ago, Todd and I started a food blog and now a glorious 7 day trip to the Bahamas is on the itinerary.

Gosh, I just love blogging. It’s changed our lives.

But unfortunately, I’m the only one who gets to go and Todd has to stay home to take care of the work staff, tend to our mischievous dogs and guard the homestead against menacing garden possums. Besides, the one that goes has to board up with Jaden and there’s no way in the world would I let my man spend 7 days in the same room with the hottest Asian blogger in the blogosphere! Hell, no. That’s why I’m going.

The last fabulous Club Med trip that Jaden took me along to was in Ixtapa, Mexico. We were two chickies in Mexico eating up a taco storm,  drinking mojitos for breakfast, swimming and sailing in the blue azure sea and just living it up in the grandest life that the wonderful Club Med experience offered.

Here’s a video that Todd and I put together for the Club Med Ixtapa trip. Jaden is having lots of fun making taco’s and eating taco’s in the video. You can get a glimpse of what our Club Med excursion in Ixtapa was like and what the Bahamas has in store for us. Oh, I’m in the video too, but I’m hiding behind the camera, video taping it all, where I love to be most.

Hi everyone, it’s Todd. I’m passing on the thanks from Diane for all of your well wishes. It will be a little bit before she’s settled in with internet access.
Jen – Thanks for the incoming goodies. I get to open the presents first! Yea!
Barbara, tell your son his video rocks! Great job!
Thanks again, everyone. Make sure to keep up on her antics and follow the little tweets! -Todd, WORC

SO FUN!!! Of course I wish I was there – I would have been your valet and shined your flip-flops each morning and brought you Margaritas poolside!! I’ve been reading and catching up and loving every minute! Please tell Deb “hi” for me…I swear, it’s a toss up between who’s blog I check more frequently, yours or hers – because I love them both! She won’t know me but in the 6-Degrees-of-Separation-Game I can now say I actually blogged to someone who knows her! Not quite as good as a trip to Club Med but I’ll take it! Have fun and watch out for sharks – sea AND land sharks! xo, Nan
