It’s been almost 15 years ago since we had our first conversation about growing a garden together. It’s been that long? We still can’t believe it.

Back then, our garden inventory was a mere small handful of terra cotta pots filled with herbs on a tiny balcony of a second story apartment. We were only able to occupy half of that balcony because we shared the apartment with two other roommates. So, our personal space back then was one bedroom, a shared bathroom, kitchen and half a balcony.

We’ve been on a bit of a Meyer Lemon kick lately. First we had the Meyer Lemon Margaritas and now we’re inundating everyone with a Meyer lemon bar recipe.

I have a little confession.  I didn’t used to be very fond of Meyer Lemons.  In fact, a scratch and sniff of a Meyer lemon rind rekindled memories of small stink bugs that gathered in mini-swarms during the warm summer months on ranch where I first teethed.

Happy Pi Day everyone!  (For those out of the loop, check the month and day,  then remember the ole math classes- 3.14.)

Often when I’m stuck on a creative idea, (writing, cooking, photo, …) I’ll take a little stroll through the garden.  Somewhere amongst the plants lies the Clever Fairy, and if I’m lucky she’ll bless me with something good to use. We know, we know. Many of you are still freezing while we’re basking in Southern California’s warm embrace. It’s a catch-22 situation with this post because we get e-mails requesting more updates on the garden, but if we do, we certainly don’t wan’t to be rubbing today’s 78 degree sunshine in anyone’s blog face.
