Blog Her Food 2012 in Seattle, Submit your speaking ideas

We’re excited and honored to be a part of the advisory committee for Blog Her Food 2012 in Seattle, WA! It was a pleasure to be speakers at their 2009 & 2010 events and the new friends, inspiration, encouragement and community bonding we experienced was really wonderful. To share and learn with like minded, passionate people in the food community really reminds us of why we love what we do.

The next conference will be in Seattle, Washington on June 8-9, 2010 and we’re looking for new speakers

Thanks to the heart-warming emails about our last blood orange margarita post, we think about all you blogger folks in the colder parts of the country that don’t get much sunshine, let alone fresh citrus. Black Garlic Noodles – Umami blast

Black garlic has been on my list of ingredients to cook with and now thanks to my friend, Jaden of Steamy Kitchen who had a package of black garlic cloves sent to me via David of Earthly Delights,  black garlic is gently perfuming my kitchen with it’s mild pungence. I grew up with fiercely fermented, powerfully pungent foods, so the offer of finally trying a much anticipated aged black garlic was welcomed with open arms and drooled saliva on the kitchen floor.
